Who is Law Soup?
Law Soup is the product of many people throughout the years, including lawyers, tech people, designers, and others who have consulted, advised, and helped create this great resource.

Tristan Blaine

Tristan founded Law Soup Media in 2014. He is author of several books, including Law is Not for Lawyers (It’s for Everyone), and Do it Like a Boss: What Every Small Business Owner Needs to Know about Law and Taxes. As a California lawyer with his own law practice, he helps people start and grow businesses of all kinds, particularly social enterprises (B corp and benefit corporations), and more.
Recognized as a leader in the community, he has been selected to the Super Lawyers list, and profiled by VoyageLA. He has written articles for Forbes.com, USAToday.com, and other publications.
Tristan is also a pre-licensed therapist and meditation teacher, helping people explore and embody more skillful ways of living, loving, and working, grounded in mindfulness and self-understanding.
He received his bachelor’s degree from UCLA, and obtained a law degree with a concentration in Constitutional Law and Rights from Cardozo Law School in New York.
Tristan has volunteered as a crisis counselor for the Trevor Project for LGBTQ youth in crisis. He enjoys meditation, mindfulness, yoga, and hiking.
